    Unhappy Birthday

So I had been with this guy for 7 months and we decided to go to Miami for my birthday. I was excited because this was our first trip together and I just knew that we would have such a wonderful time. Before we left, he was saying that his money was tight and that he couldn’t go overboard on the trip. [My man, didn’t you know that we were planning to go here ahead of time? Why didn’t you save some money, especially when your salary trumps mine and then some?] He didn’t pay for my flight or hotel expenses, so I was unclear as to how he was…

    Divorced His Child

So I met this guy online and we went from chatting to eventually speaking on the phone. I learned he was ex-military [yay!], had a great job [double yay!], and a father of three [bummer! 😢]. Anyway, the conversation was cool at first, but then it quickly became uncomfortable for me as he went on a diatribe about his first born. She was about 13 or 14 years-old and he spoke about her as if she was some bitch on the street. Blabbermouth

So I met this guy one night while I was at a bar with some of my friends. I liked his vibe and we exchanged numbers before I left to go home. We talked on the phone a few days later after I had gotten off from work and it just so happened that my project site was close to his office [Sweet!]. We decided to get together that same night after my project at a sushi restaurant nearby to have those initial ice-breaker conversations since we hadn’t chatted much after meeting due to both of our schedules.  I learned that we worked in the same industry and that neither one…

    Fresh Out

So I was invited to dinner at a restaurant in the city by a guy that I recently met. Once inside, it seemed a little too ratchet [neither one of us had actually been to this place before] and my date quickly suggested that we walk around the area to find a different restaurant. There were a number of restaurants on the same block, so it didn’t take us long to find a better spot and get seated. We seemed to really be hitting it off when, out of nowhere, he decided to have a confession hour of sorts. He revealed that he hadn’t had sex in over a year and that his divorce was…
