    Valentine’s Day Disaster

So I was on my way to Europe, but had a layover in New Jersey. On my layover flight, I was gonna tune everything out and plug in my headphones, but the guy next to me decided to strike up a conversation [mother f*****!] He was not at all my type from a physical standpoint (his head was MASSIVE and his shoes were all the way run over), but he was very cool and I’m always down to connect with new people. Anyway, we had the typical ‘where are you from, where are you going, what do you do’ conversation. He disclosed that he was a surgeon in New York…

    The Spitter

So I reconnected with a woman I met previously at a non-profit event via social media [Thank God for Facebook…Well in this case, I believe Satan was involved with this woman]. We began talking on the phone and, since everything seemed fine, I invited her on a museum date. Now I’m all for jokes and I absolutely love to laugh, but I know better than to be loud and obnoxious in a museum. This woman, let’s call her The Spitter, was so loud and ignorant in the museum [think loud speaker announcements in grade school] making all types of inappropriate jokes and comments. Needless to say, I was happy when…

    Speed Date

So I met this guy online and we began to speak on the phone off and on for a couple of weeks. I had been out of town for work, so there wasn’t an immediate opportunity for us to connect face to face.  Well, I was home this particular week and the guy called to ask what I was doing that evening.  I let him know that I had a meeting when I got off and would be headed home afterwards.  He said he wanted to see me and would be wrapping up with his client [he was a personal trainer] at around 7:30pm, which happened to be around the…

    Can’t Get Right

So once I cut a person off, it’s usually for good, but on this particular occasion, I gave some a second chance.  This dude reneged on an invitation to a Lauryn Hill concert [read more HERE] and I didn’t appreciate that not one bit so much so that I completely cut dude off…Blocked him from calling and texting me altogether [Thanks iPhone] Anyway after almost one year of not talking to the guy, he called me on my phone from a different number [his job phone apparently].  I didn’t know who it was at first, but once he said his name, I laughed hysterically and hung up the phone.  [Petty…

    Barbershop

So I exchanged numbers with this guy and, during our initial chat, I learned that he lived about 4 hours away.  [Damn!] We kept in touch in spite of the distance and spoke fairly regularly . He came to town within the following weeks and we had the absolute BEST time.  We went to a number of bars in the city (kind of like a bar crawl) and danced the night away. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my life.  It felt great to just go out and have some good old-fashioned fun….nothing planned or pretentious.  [This dude might be a keeper!]  Eventually, the clock struck…
